SOS 4 KIDZ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2010. Our founder is Mary Jo (Cline) Szewczyk. Our organization’s mission is to provide equal opportunities to abused and neglected children in Erie County. The children we sponsor are mostly involved with the Erie County Office of Children and Youth. The organization was created to allow for these children to have an equal playing field for children who don’t have the funding to do so. Each child is eligible for up to $250 per year for community and school extracurricular activities or items. Children are sponsored for things such as sports uniforms, gym memberships, music lessons, gaming equipment, prom dresses, household items, summer school classes, eye glasses, and many more! The possibilities are endless and truly depends on that child’s wants or needs!
We host fundraising events frequently to raise money to continue to serve the children of Erie County!
SOS 4 KIDZ also offers scholarships for children in need. Applications are accepted on an annual basis for this opportunity. To apply, youth are required to fill out the application and provide an essay of 500 words or more explaining how this scholarship would assist them in reaching their goals.
